Kevin Bacon (born November 27, 1971) is a state senator for the 3rd District of the Ohio Senate, who served since 2011. Previously, he served in the Ohio House of Representatives 2007-2010, and as a City coach Blendon. Bacon represents parts of Franklin County including Westerville, New Albany, Gahanna, Whitehall, Reynoldsburg, Canal Winchester, Obetz, Valley View, Marble Cliff and parts of Columbus.
A lawyer, Bacon also serves as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Civil Justice. He's a Republican.

Bacon was born and raised in Defiance, Ohio. After graduating from Miami University and Capital Law School, Bacon, a private practice lawyer, previously worked for Farmers Insurance and the Ohio Department of Commerce and as a prosecutor for the City of Lancaster, Ohio. He is currently a lawyer, lawyer, with law firm Appel & amp; Hellstedt, located in Worthington, Ohio. He also serves as Blendon City Assistant.

With incumbent Sen. David Goodman unable to search for another term, Bacon announced in May 2009 that he would run for the Ohio Senate. After no competition in the primary, he faces Democrat Mark Pfeifer in the general election, and wins the 50% -43% election.
Bacon is the main sponsor of Senate Bill 9, which updated Ohio's insurance laws to reflect recent changes in federal health care legislation. SB 9 suspends the Open Enrollment Program, Ohio Health Reinsurance Program, and the conversion of health insurance policy options. The bill was signed into law by Governor John Kasich on June 4, 2013.
In 2014, Bacon was re-elected with 61% of the vote. For the 131rd General Assembly of Ohio, Bacon served as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Civil Justice.
