R. Walter Hundley (born January 12, 1953) served as a Republican member of the South Carolina Senate, representing the 41st District people. Hundley was elected in a special election on July 17, 2012 to fulfill the remaining term of Lieutenant Governor Glenn F. McConnell.

Walter Hundley is a workers' compensation lawyer in Charleston, South Carolina. Mr. Hundley worked with an insurance company for five years, but has been practiced exclusively as Plaintiff's lawyer for the past twenty-five years. Prior to opening his own company, Walter served as Commissioner of Compensation and Chair of South Carolina.
Personal life
Outside the office, Walter is a diligent nature worker and loves to spend time with his wife and three children on Wadmalaw Island. He is also known for his steady partner, Otis, an Australian blue heel.
Education
Hundley graduated from Porter-Gaud School in 1971. He graduated from Clemson University's 1971 alumni with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. He earned his Juris Doctorite degree from the Law Faculty of the University of South Carolina.
Awards
The Palmetto Order was given to Hundley on January 10, 1995 by Former Governor Carroll Campbell.
