San Francisco District Prosecutor's Office is a legal entity assigned to prosecute crime in the city and county of San Francisco, California. The current district attorney is George GascÃÆ'³n. Mayor Gavin Newsom appointed him to the post on January 9, 2011, to replace Kamala Harris, who was elected California Attorney General in November 2010. He was then elected as a member in November 2011.
