Careers
Wiehl is a prosecutor at the US Attorney's office. He is the legal correspondent for All Things NPR Considered. He is "deputy chief investigative adviser for Democrats in the House of Justice Committee during Clinton impeachment." From 1995 to 2001, he was a permanent law professor at the University of Washington Law School in Seattle, where he runs the Trial Advocacy Program. From 2001 to 2017, Wiehl was a legal analyst for Fox News.
Bill O'Reilly Determination
The New York Times reported that Wiehl made allegations of sexual harassment against Bill O'Reilly in early 2017 and received a $ 32 million settlement from him. Fox News is not a party to this settlement and considers it a personal matter between O'Reilly and Wiehl. They claim that they are not informed of the amount of money involved. Wiehl signed a written statement on January 17, 2017, stating that he and O'Reilly resolved their dispute. Her allegations and statements refer to repeated sexual abuse, non-sexual sexual intercourse, and explicit sexual e-mail that O'Reilly sends to her. O'Reilly claims that he forwarded this e-mail to Wiehl, who worked as his lawyer, as part of a process in which he would forward any threatening e-mail it receives to his lawyers.
