Thomas Gerard "Tom" Martino (born 1953) is a supporter of American consumer and radio show host. It is also known as "The Troubleshooter". The national syndication show "The Troubleshooter Show" was broadcast from KHOW, based in Denver, Colorado. The format of the show focuses on the caller who gives him a specific complaint about the business; asking general-purpose consumer-oriented questions; or have various problems they need to be resolved. He also provides business and consumer advice to listeners. Martino investigates complaints by contacting others in disputes where possible; he then gives suggestions and asks for comments from callers. The show began more than 38 years ago and was nationally syndicated around 2001. Martino said that over the years, he has recovered hundreds of millions of dollars in cash, merchandise, and services for consumers who contacted him.

Martino's career begins at Catskill Daily Mail , a newspaper in New York, where she writes consumer-oriented columns. In 1976, he began working on radio and television. He continues to write columns for Rocky Mountain News, but now writes columns only for his own website.
Martino took his consumer advocacy to television, first at several stations in the Eastern United States. In Denver, he spent 18 years at CBS KCNC-TV station. His most recent television position was with the KDVR Fox Broadcasting Company affiliate in Denver, which canceled its show from schedule in 2011.
Martino is known for his brave style. If he believes a businessman is unethical, he does not hesitate to call him a liar or a swindler in the air. If he believes the business failed to respond to his investigation, he sometimes broadcasts business phone numbers and encourages listeners to contact businesses.

On April 24, 2009, the US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit issued an opinion confirming the dismissal of the defamation suit brought against Martino by an Oregon water vessel dealer. A dealer customer has phoned Martino's show to describe the problem he has with the private boat he bought from the dealer, and in the air conversation, Martino says "they just lied to you." Dealers sued Martino for defamation and business relationship disruption. The federal district court in Portland granted the Martino anti-SLAPP movement, refused the dealer case, and gave Martino a lawyer fee to the dealer. Martino operates the "Troubleshooting Reference List," a list of businesses he supports. To become a Reference List member, a business must agree to a code of ethics, including an agreement to comply with Martino's decision in case of disputes with the consumer. A business can pay for Martino to personally endorse their products or services in the air, although critics say that Tom Martino's status as a consumer advocate is compromised by the money he receives for his support. The Martino website has a long disclaimer stating that he is not responsible for the quality of service received from his company. However, It is the only form of advertising that offers consumers another way through, arbitration, public testimony, media exposure and public condemnation and unexpected member suspension.

On September 2, 2011, Tom Martino filed for bankruptcy Chapter 7, He borrowed heavily to invest in real estate, and became bankrupt when real estate prices fell. The proposal was contradicted when some creditors accused Martino of improperly transferring the property to his wife's name, which he rejected.
